We are delighted to launch our latest Impact Report. Read it in full here.
In 2022/23, we continued bringing older and younger people together. We worked across 10 London boroughs, connecting more than 500 people at 120 intergenerational workshops.
Since 2017, we have helped more than 2,350 people build an intergenerational connection, with older people volunteering more than 3,220 hours to support children’s learning.
Our flagship Connect programme - now in its fifth year - offered a space for primary school children and their older neighbours to learn and build friendships together. We explored new activities this year, from running skill sharing workshops to holding our first ever Intergenerational Panel meeting.
Meanwhile in our third year of Social Action workshops, younger and older participants ran their own cost of living campaign - #RaiseOurVoicesLowerThePrices. One of our older participants said: “In these workshops we've been able to step into the young people's worlds and learn about what's really happening out there.”
We continued to develop our digital platform pilot as part of the Healthy Ageing Challenge, funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). This was our second year working on the pilot and we were thrilled to recruit a dedicated team member to drive this project forwards. We are excited to extend our impact and help communities across the UK deliver intergenerational programmes.
We hope you enjoy reading the stories of connection in this report. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved this year. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without the enthusiasm of our participants and the support of schools, housing partners and funders. Thank you for helping us bring generations together.
