InCommon is now closed. It was a charity that connected groups of young people with their older neighbours so they could share experiences, celebrate differences and learn from one another.
Important announcement: InCommon is now closed and this site is for information only. There are case studies and stories of the amazing work that InCommon has done over the past 9 years and we encourage you to have a good look around and discover the things we have learnt along the way.
OUR PURPOSE
We created opportunities for young people and older people to connect in their communities, boosting connection and confidence for people of all ages.
OUR PartnerSHIPS
Find out how we ran our intergenerational programmes in partnership with housing associations, care homes, schools, youth groups and more.
Helping to bring generations together
Our Empower programme supported housing associations and care homes across the UK to set up and deliver intergenerational projects that boost wellbeing and increase connections.
Marten House and London Meed Primary are one of our longest running Empower projects. Based in West Sussex, the retirement scheme and school were connected in June 2022 as part of our pilot and have since met each term.
