Help bring generations together at intergenerational workshops.

We’re looking for volunteers to support the smooth running of our intergenerational workshops.

Volunteers help our trained facilitators deliver workshops and support our participants so that everyone feels safe, welcome and included.

What’s involved?

Intergenerational workshops run on weekdays, usually for two hours (including set up and tidy up) in the morning or the afternoon. All of our workshops are led by trained facilitators.

You don’t need to have any experience working with older or younger people but we do ask that you are:

  • Comfortable interacting with people of different ages and from different backgrounds

  • Respectful of different needs and access requirements

  • Reliable

Here are some of the things our workshop volunteers do:

  • Assist with on-the-day workshop preparation and clearing up

  • Get involved with the workshop activities (joining in games, assisting the facilitator, helping pupils with reading and writing etc.)

  • Supporting older participants with additional needs (e.g. hearing difficulties, mobility issues, memory loss etc.)

You can find out more about the role in our Volunteer Pack.

Where is it?

Our workshops take place in retirement schemes across London. We’d encourage you to fill in the form and we can then have a chat about the best location to volunteer in.
