Give your way this Giving Tuesday

With Giving Tuesday just around the corner (Tuesday 3 December), we’re shining a light on some of the many ways you can get involved and support our work bringing generations together.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that celebrates and encourages doing good. The theme this year is #GiveYourWay.

Volunteer at intergenerational workshops

We’re always looking for volunteers to support the smooth running of our workshops. Volunteers help our trained facilitators with a variety of tasks, from getting the space ready to joining in games. They also support our younger and older neighbours so that everyone feels safe, welcome and included.

We run workshops in various locations across London. They usually last around two hours (including set up and tidy up) and so they’re easy to fit in around a busy schedule.

Share our Poetry Competition

We’re looking for entrants into our acrostic poetry competition and we’d love your help spreading the word. You can forward the link onto a friend or share our posts on social media (you can find us on Instagram and LinkedIn). The deadline to enter is 5pm on Monday 6th of January.

Help us create something

We’re always looking at ways we can bring delight to older and younger neighbours. If you’ve got a creative eye, we’d love to hear from you. Maybe you can help us create our next film (see our cost of living campaign film) or help produce another edition of our Intergenerational Magazine?

Donate stationery, gardening equipment or something else!

At our intergenerational workshops we do lots of creative activities, from decorating plant pots to creating rangoli patterns with coloured sand. We’d love to hear from you if you've got some spare stationary, gardening equipment or something else.

Fundraise for us

Whether it’s taking on a fitness challenge like the Hackney Half or organising an intergenerational quiz for friends and family, there are plenty of ways you can help us bring generations together.

Donate

And last but not least, you can support our work by making a donation or setting up a regular gift. As a small charity, your donation will make a huge difference to our work and will help us connect more younger and older neighbours. As an example, £15 could cover materials and refreshments for one workshop or £350 could cover the full costs of a monthly intergenerational workshop.
