Could you be InCommon's next Chair?

We’re delighted to share this blog from Anthony Wheeler, our Interim Chair.

At InCommon, we’re looking for a new Chair to lead our organisation through its next stage of development. You can find out more about the role (including details of how to apply) here

Please do share with anyone you think might be excited about joining the Board and driving InCommon’s strategy.

Anthony, our Interim Chair

InCommon works in some of the most interesting and important areas of social impact – bringing generations together to combat loneliness, building understanding and community across generations, and overcoming prejudice through deeper connection.

We’re a young and dynamic organisation going through an exciting period of transition. In my time as interim Chair, InCommon has moved from a founder-led social enterprise to a fully-fledged charity which is now under the leadership of our new Chief Executive, Hannah Kayi Mason.

I’ve had a wonderful experience supporting InCommon. I am extremely proud of everything the organisation has achieved and am excited about its future. So, as we move into a new chapter for InCommon we’re looking for a new, permanent Chair.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and committed person to use their experience to lead the governance of an organisation with a strong sense of purpose and great potential. It’s an organisation that truly lives and breathes its values and one that makes being a Chair of Trustees genuinely fulfilling.

You can find out more about the role in our recruitment pack, which gives an insight into InCommon, the scope of the role, and what we are ideally looking for in our new Chair. We welcome applications from anyone who feels they have the right mix of skills, values and ambitions to take on this exciting challenge.

If you would like an informal conversation before applying, please just reach out to trustees@incommon.org.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Meet the rest of the trustees and team here.
