We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to our Big Give Christmas Challenge and attended our first Festive Quiz, supporting our mission of connecting generations and boosting wellbeing and confidence.
The Big Give is a week-long fundraising campaign that ran from 2 December to 9 December. Every donation made during this week was matched, meaning one donation double the impact! Our goal was to raise £5,000 to continue our intergenerational programmes in London and across the UK.
This year, you helped us raise an incredible £5,338.50 including Gift Aid.
We’d like to thank our pledgers and Big Give champion Julia Rausing Trust for making the match funds possible.
As part of this year’s campaign, we hosted our first Festive Quiz night, with quiz goers raising over £400 towards our goal. Friends and family teamed up to battle it out over rounds of tricky trivia and seasonal questions, along with a raffle to win some brilliant prizes.
Thanks to the generosity from local businesses and donors, we had a fantastic selection of prizes on offer, including vouchers for an intro package with Hot Yoga Brixton, a pizza party for 6 children at Mama Dough and £20 voucher for Jeffersons Ice Cream. Excitement filled the room as winners were announced, and the raffle helped boost our overall fundraising total while adding even more fun to the night.
