We bring people together, young and old, to find out what they have in common.
InCommon bridges generational divides. We connect groups of young people with their older neighbours in retirement homes to learn and build friendships together. Our activities help to boost older people's wellbeing, support children's social and emotional learning, and build more age-friendly communities for all.
It was wonderful connecting with the youth organisations across the country involved in this year’s Intergenerational Social Action Programme, funded by Clarion Futures, Sovereign Network Group, Places for People and #iwill.
The evenings might be longer, but for InCommon it’s one of our favourite times of the year as we begin a new term of intergenerational workshops.
We’re delighted to have teamed up with our friends at the Brixton-based Advocacy Academy to run a free ten session course on how to create change in the local community.
